  1. Good afternoon everyone! I have written a short piece, a guideline of sorts, for incoming college freshmen. It briefly looks back on my college experience and I offer some wisdom for college students in general.

I’d like some feedback of any sort on my writing on this post or any others. If you have any comments about the blog itself (presentation, pages, etc) I would love to hear from you!
    Cheers, Michael.

  2. After making the decision to start blogging, did you set boundaries or related subsets of your chosen subject when doing challenges, or did you allow yourself to wander into new unrelated territory? Wondering if I’ve limited myself to too narrow an interest in both the blog and the challenges? Thanks for any help. http://theroadlesspaved.com/

    1. Heads up! Your link has a comma instead of a period before “wordpress.”
Other than that, the writing is great. I’d say add a picture here and there to spice things up, but that would be it.
      Cool company name!

Just a thought…keep the chocolate on your tongue and not chew or bite with your teeth… let it melt…it will stay longer in your mouth, minimizes bad effects on your teeth…adds more pleasure to your brain better than the pleasure getting from a kiss…and chocolates keeps you stress free. Happy to read your thoughts on going for healthy living…keep it up dear.

  8. Hi! I was wondering if anybody would like to give me feedback on a recent post of mine. It’s about societies view on superheroes and how the are relevant in our culture. http://redblooms.wordpress.com/2013/09/02/preconceived-notions-of-comic-books/

I only just started my blog three days ago so I’m still new at this. If you could take a look at some of my other posts if you are interested and give me feedback it would be much appreciated.

  9. Hello fellows bloggers:
I would like your opinion with something that is happening with one of my blogs. I explain…..
Last year I decide to start a blog about Art History summaries in Spanish that is my original language, but them a friend suggest that I should somehow make available that content in English too.
First I install Google translator but the result was not good are all; the information couldn’t be read it very well. So I decide to write a version of the Spanish blog in English; not exactly the same but similar in information and pictures. What is happening now have me disconcerted and also frustrated.
In the Spanish blog every day around 300 people visit the blog, (some days like weekends less visits) and they comment, ask for content specifications and are gratefully speaking their though about the information provided but in the English version blog I have almost no visitors are all only me and hundred of spam comments, it haven been good the traffic with this page (like never). I am almost thinking to stop working in this blog. Please can some vary visit this blog and compare this one with the one in Spanish and tell me with all sincerity what is wrong with it. Really I put so much work and hours it is horrible knowing no one is reading it.
I really appreciate what ever advice or opinion that leads me to understand what is the problem.

    1. I have looked around the English version of your blog and would say firstly that the contents and layout are very good. You have obviously spent a lot of time and effort on it.

However, the English is generally grammatically inaccurate and some words are misspelt. This makes it a little difficult and off-putting to follow as an English reader, especially some of the more abstract concepts which is a shame as the images and explanation are interesting

I hope this is of some help

      1. Hello Linda:
Thank you for your response. Yes you are correct about the grammatical problems, I have been tried to fix them but is difficult for me. I translate from Spanish to English with the help of Microsoft translator but because English is not my first language it is quite difficult for me to get a good accuracy with a content that is so difficult and as you say have abstract concepts. I am learning English but myself but definitely I need a course to learn grammar better.
I am in the process of review every one of the posts again and edit the errors but unfortunately I am the only writing and with no help from someone who can read and write English correctly. I cannot afford to pay for those services right now so is going to be a nightmare.
I asked for help to friends but they say the content level is beyond the skills they have and courteously say no. So it will be up to me to fix the errors. I am working on that and studied english grammar in order to fix this problem but it will take a lot of time nevertheless since so far the blog have at least 38 articles and three pages.
So wish me luck please; I will need it.
Thank you a lot for your response again.
        Sincerely
        Elena

    1. I like the look and feel of your blog. Perhaps you can increase reader interaction by posting a question at the end of some of your posts. Questions may pique readers’ interest and create a conversation around your post topic.

  12. Just started my WordPress blog the other day. I was posting on Blogspot for several years until a fellow writer told me about the community here.
I mostly post short pieces that I write. By the time they get onto the blog my editor and I have gone through it, but feedback is always good.I welcome comments (positive and negative) and ideas. I also follow with ease.

    1. Aloha Jennifer,
      Thank you for responding.
I read some of the Americans and will continue on tomorrow (it’s late in Hawaii). I’ll be happy to comment on your posts and I hope you watch mine for new material. I try to post a short piece weekly and currently I’m working on a SciFi series but the effort is to sharpen my writing skills for my next novel.

      1. Aloha Jen,
I just set up my new blog on WordPress; http://padaarch.wordpress.com/
I decided to get a divorce from Blogspot rather than a nebulous separation (let good-bye hurt like it should…). Most of what I want up has been posted, just missing 4 years of “posts”.
