What is a strength you have that you haven’t used? Recently? Maybe a secret skill, or perhaps an ability that only surfaces under tough times?

  1. My creative abilities! Up until recently I haven’t been drawing or making crafts but this summer I started scrapbooking, blogging, and making jewelry and I absolutely love it!

  2. My random psychic abilities that show up at the most random times. I always guess people’s age right the first time…and one time I was in a cab and without the driver ever opening his mouth to speak I blurted out, “You’re from Eritrea.” and he whipped around and stared at me like I was a witch. “How did you know that!?” he asked. “I have no (*&@#^$ idea, it just came out.” I said.

  3. my ability to say “no” has been sadly lacking, often placing other people’s priorities overy myown, but when it comes to family, that can be expected at times. The cost of building healthy relationship is the give and take of time and talents, so I am okay with it for now.

  5. I have an ability that is not in my conscious on demand control. It is the ability to right the boat, to right myself no matter what situation I find myself in, what ditch I fell into. It doesn’t matter if I feel lost or scared and hanging on for dear life. Somehow I end up where I am supposed to be, well rewarded with amazing insights and understandings, diamonds and gold. I do not tremble any less for realizing this ally but I have learnt to wait. Now if only I can remember based on this that there is no need to freak out and fret. Then I’d be so cool and calm looking.

  6. Faith in one-self is the greatest strength a person can have; the understanding that we have the ability to control our own destiny; it teaches us responsibility for our own actions – good and bad and it that it is very liberating.

  7. The secret skill that I have that gets me through tough times is the Holy Spirit. In the 72 years I have been on this earth, I have had to endure some major difficulties, even walking into my daughter’s house after the Lord had taken her away. I had to be strong for her three children and her husband. That was one of the most difficult time in my life and I can’t take credit for any of it because I know that had it not been for the Holy Spirit I would not have made it.
