Well, here’s the honest truth. I switched from blog a day to blog a week for one main reason: People subscribed to my blog must have been getting tired of all the email notifications. My subscription numbers went down some. Plus, I got really sick, and decided to pull back to blog a week. That seems to be working out just fine. Thanks for asking.

I’ve enjoyed the post a day challenge a lot more than I thought I would. It really makes me think during the day about what I might be doing that is “blogworthy.” Favorite achievement so far was having a post about daily blogging featured on Freshly Pressed. http://barbarasfernald.com/2011/01/28/why-am-i-trying-to-do-post-a-day-2011/
I met some really great daily bloggers through that feature. Thanks WP!

very cool experience, somewhat challenging at times and then super easy when in the flow. I have been enjoying it a lot. I wish I had more comments and feedback and questions what not… anyways the most important thing is I like it. 🙂

I can’t believe I’ve kept up with daily posts in all three of my blogs – two photo blogs and my all encompassing other blog! Crazy! It’s been possible because of the support of this PostaDay network and my growing group of regular readers who I appreciate so much!
My personal challenges have been making sure I take the photos I need to take every day, keeping “regular life” a priority, and keeping up with all of the fellow bloggers whose work I’m enjoying reading!
High points have been getting it done every day, getting new readers, being Freshly Pressed (!), and as Andrew says above, seeing the world every day with a “writer’s eye.”

I am growing every single day, am soooooooo thankful you thought up the challenge. My writing, such as it is, has improved because of the discipline that the challenge has brought on. And even if I was feeling very sentimental, I managed to write down my reflections 🙂

In the first month, the number of views on my site doubled, but this past month I’ve hit a bit of a wall as I end up posting later in the day and am not feeling as inspired. However, that might just be all the snow we’re getting in our part of the country (Northeast). Previous to this, I had been posting about four days a week, but adding a few more posts can be difficult. Rewarding? I’m not sure yet, but I’ll keep plugging away even if on some of the days, I just “Blah I’m here.” 🙂

How funny- I had drafted an update earlier last week, but did not have a chance to post it until this morning. Ironic that I got this update. It feels great to be motivated.

I have unintentionally started doing a post a week. I had no plans for it, but it’s just kind of happened. The results are higher traffic on my site, and more interaction with the community. It’s been lost of fun!

Daily blogging has helped me go deeper into my writing and to better connect thought dots. I sor t of view it as a public journal — and it’s helping me find my voice.

In some of my first posts, I wrote about my reluctance to sit down and write. That reluctance is gone and I post every day, usually 250-350 words. The writing is much faster and even more enjoyable than before. For me, this is a valuable writing exercise more than anything else. I plan to continue.

Two months already? That’s flown by. I think I’m doing ok, although would love to have more comments 🙂 but learning lots about blogging and writing. More importantly, I’m enjoying the challenge.

I wish I had signed up earlier. I always thought I had no time to blog, but now I just factor it in alongside the rest of the multi-tasking. I keep the laptop near the oven and type away when waiting for things to cook. Managed to completely burn a frozen pizza today though, so that strategy has its downsides…

It’s great to read so many positive comments on taking such a challenge for 2011! So far I’ve posted every single day of 2011, which is appropriate for my blog, since it’s called “Every day I see a cow”.
A week and a half ago, WordPress pleasantly surprised me by showcasing my blog in the “10 Theme Blogs That Rock”. Thanks again to WordPress for the honor to be picked!

I’m glad I took the challenge. It disciplined me to write every day. As, an author that has supplied me with material for my blog, facebook, twitter, Linkedin, newsletter, podcasts, e-books, and CDs.

Yes, it hasn’t been too easy. But I’m doing my best. I’m working on a 30 day challenge, so that helps me to post daily.

It’s been fantastic for me – my blogging had steadily got less and less frequent throughout 2010, and I’ve managed to stick to one a week so far this year which is a distinct improvement, I’ve finally blogged all about my holiday to Nicaragua last year, my recent ski trip to Switzerland, and will be posting soon about last summer’s holiday to Croatia. My traffic is growing steadily again and I’m really enjoying it again too! Thanks for the extra push – was just what I needed

Actually, I had been posting daily for several months before this challenge went out. So…I went back and created a postaday2010 tag for all those. My warped humor.
I am jazzed. I am tired.
Mostly I am proud I learned how to do anything at all on the Internet. Finally. Working with Internet is far less exhausting than fighting it all the time. I’m done with the heels-dug-in-the-dirt routine.
I have downloaded photos from the card inside my camera, changed themes, put categories and slugs and tags on all my posts, and have begun linking stuff. DO NOT YAWN!!! Two months ago, I barely could remember how to get to my dashboard. And slugs on posts rated right up there with cow pies on fields, in my vocabulary.
My teens cheer and tell me to give myself a gold star. 🙂 Mostly, I think they are heaving great sighs of relief that Mom doesn’t (whiney-whiney) need their help. And sometimes, when they talk to me, I actually understand what they are talking about. Amazing!–they were making sense all along, and I never knew it!
Oh, oh, oh–and people out there I’ve never met LIKE me! It’s been a blast.
Thanks, Erica.

This has been an amazing challenge. There are days when I’m really disappointed with my work, but since it’s daily I post anyway. Thank goodness for supporters who cheer us on with sweet comments!
I have a problem of getting rid of an old blogsite posted at this same name. I was testing the site and now when you hit my name, it sends people to my Mysterious Museum of Language and Arts instead of my BrainCaviar daily post. I tried the things suggested online but can’t seem to delete the site without deleting my own BrainCaviar site. Any suggestions?

I’m participating in Postaweek, and I’m sorta surprised I’ve been able to stick with it. My blog is a film blog, and I love movies. I think that is what has helped me –blog what you love. However, it’s not always easy. Some movie reviews take an hour to write. Some take 3 days. 🙂 The highlight so far was being featured on the freshly pressed page last week. It was great fun and exciting to get so many blog views and comments on that day. I’ve also started exploring other people’s blogs more. So much good stuff to discover and read, etc.

I started out writing about my life in the military, but I write on a variety of topics now. I started the challenge as a side gig while I work on a novel, but I’m having so much fun writing I’ve started a second blog just for photography. I’ve nearly caught up in postings. My hits have more than doubled since I started. I got in one month what took five before. More importantly people are staying and reading multiple posts. What I find exciting is I have readers in 126 cities in 29 countries.

I’m most proud of the fact that I committed to PostaWeek and am posting at nearly a PostaDay rate!

Month 2 has flown past for me. I’m enjoying the heck out of this challenge. I’m attempting postaday. I’m creating a musical diary by posting a song a day! Throughout March, I’m also undertaking a 30 day song challenge with each day bringing a new guideline to find a song for. It’s going to be fun. Big blog love to all of those who are having a great time and have kept up so far!

I am enjoying that the process gets a little easier with each passing day. I am happy that I am sharing things with others that is good to put in words for myself. I am thrilled that my readership has tripled. I am happy that I have made a commitment and I have been sticking with it, despite the hurdles. I am glad to have found WordPress. Thank you kindly =)

It’s been going great. Posting every week is so much better than everyday. You tend to think through the topics that you are going to blog on. You don’t want disgruntled readers 🙂

First off, thanks to you guys for starting this challenge! It was a brilliant idea and it has made blogging fun again!
I love my blog now and am looking forward to write up a post every morning, while drinking my coffee. It felt good from the get-go, because I felt that this was something that I actually could do. I’ve taken part in A photo a Day challenges twice and failed. Last time I stopped at #173.
The best part of this whole thing is meeting new people. The interaction with the other bloggers is what makes it so much fun!
