At age 61 with 20/20 hindsight, I’d counsel myself to laugh a lot, live my own life and not someonelse’s, and eat 25-30 grams of fiber a day to “stay regular.” I know, I know, TMI! But it’s the truth, the God awful truth! ha,ha. Told you…laugh a lot…
it’s what keeps me going in old age…hugmamma.

To the soundtrack of 2001’s chart-topping pop song, LeAnne Rimes’ ‘Can’t Fight the Moonlight’, twenty-three-year-old-me bursts into the middle school girls’ toilets and corners thirteen-year-old-me, who cowers under the cover of her frizzy mullet, and is forced to sit on the cistern and listen good… http://wordsarefornerds.wordpress.com/2011/02/15/why-i-hate-tweens/

I’d tell myself NEVER to buy the next size up. That’s the beginning of all the trouble in store if you do. Squeeze into the size you were when you were 20 and keep that size for life. No excuses. And yes, you will be hungry. And the older you get the hungrier you will be.
Mostly because you are creating stuff and that keeps you sitting in one place for long hours at a time. You can’t create at the gym or out on a walk!

Although there may be some wisdom in giving my past self the winners of every FA Cup final between then and now and telling my past self to put on a spread bet.

It does not have much sense to try to advice myself about what to do or not, because I would not pay attention at all, so…..Probably I would say to me in this 5 minutes that I have to follow my instinct and learn from every single mistake I would do, even though I would probably repeat and repeat the same mistakes, but in general I enjoyed my mistakes, and I am a happy person in general exactly for such mistakes, so probably I would not advice anything else than live the moment fully and don’t regret for the mistakes

Think about it the other way: How would you like it if your future you barged in on you for five minutes to tell you … what? You’d be left with a bunch of unanswered questions.
I decided to just leave a note on my past me’s desk: “Please remember to make backups of all those fonts, will you, and keep the font CDs safe.”
I expected to see the CDs upon my return, but Nooo. I miss those fonts.

I saw this after I’d written avent-post. I will write about this tonight. There’s something my 25 year old self would’ve benefitted from knowing! Thanks! This is, yet again, an excellent idea! 🙂
