First topic is up: get started!

Ok here we go – starting early to give you a head start.

We’ll be posting ideas you can post about. These are optional. If you don’t like one, that’s fine. Post something else. Or post about why you don’t like this topic, or the topic you wish we’d mentioned here. It’s s all good.

Here’s the first topic idea of 2011, brought to you by Plinky:

List three countries you’d like to visit, and why you want to go.

Or if you don’t want to go anywhere ever, explain why.

And if our suggestion doesn’t quite fit your blog’s general topic (e.g. Your blog is about hyperactive dancing miniature french poodles that only eat swiss cheese), that’s ok. Simply ask “What are the three most interesting countries or places related to my blog? And why are they important to you?”

(Reminder: Do not answer this in the comments. That would be very silly. You should grab this topic and write a post about it on your blog).

  2. If you can come up with a system to identify the posts written on a particular topic mentioned here, I could volunteer to go through all of them and summarize it, at least for the next three months – I have some time now. Let me know if you need help.

  5. Thanks WordPress! I am a newbie blogger and have been thinking about setting myself the challenge of a post a day for quite a while. This was just the push I needed to commit to it. While I doubt that I’ll write about the suggested topics all of the time, the idea of a whole lot of us working towards the same goal is super exciting!

  9. I started on topic and ended up veering off to talk about New Year’s Eve food traditions around the world. Great inspiration from that prompt. Thanks again WordPress, but you know, I’m getting kind of tired of thanking you for all your awesomeness all the time. Please don’t stop though.

  14. I probably wont follow the set questions at all….but this is going to be a good reminder to blog…and maybe when I have no inspirations…the questions will help! 🙂 Awesome idea!

  16. This really was on topic for me so I was happy to see this one because I was struggling with coming up with something to start my blog off with. Since I am getting into being a homebased agent.

  22. I actually scheduled today’s post last night and my clock must be off because it posted too early. Never fear, I posted another just before midnight. This is exactly the nudge I have needed for so long. I would encourage each of the participants in the challenge to subscribe to one another’s blogs to encourage and motivate us to stay the course.
