Clicking on the Muscat theme link got me to a blank page. I waited, maybe the loading was slow. Nothing. Then I scrolled down and saw that this was “intentional”. The worst mistake one can make – nothing “above the fold”. The designer would have been kicked out of school half a century ago.

Great FSE themes! I’d also love to see more themes with a fixed-sidebar option. 🙂

These themes may work for some websites, but for actual down in the dirt blogging where content can be organized in a way that makes sense for a blogger, and for visitors to a blog, we need some themes that actually look like a blog. Left column, right column, without all the big flashy, waste of space, giant letters for titles. Surely somebody can create something like this with Gutenburg. Think Kubrick, Colinear, etc. There is actually a new Kubrick2 theme over at wordpress(.org). Why can’t wordpress(.com) bring that over here? With Gutenburg, I’m sure it’s probably highly customizable, could bring back some nostalgia since it was at one time one of the most popular wordpress themes. Sorry to be negative, but I’m not excited much about all these big flashy themes lately.
