43 Degrees, but it’s snowing

It’s 43 degrees outside, which is I think as cold as it gets in San Francisco. But there’s no reason we can’t turn down the thermometer here on WordPress.com.

That’s right, the snow is back!

Last year we were a little tardy with adding it so to make up we’re giving you almost a full month of snowy goodness.

How to make it rain snow?

  1. Go to your dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Appearance -> Extras.
  3. Check the box next to “Show falling snow on this blog.”
  4. Roast some chestnuts.

Oh the weather outside is frightful,
but this blog is sooo delightful
Until the internet gets slow,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Those of you who turned on snow on last year will get it automatically. If you want to turn it off just do the steps above but uncheck the box.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

LOL I love it! Thanks! But gee, only until January 4, 2009? Where I live, Kansas, the snow is just beginning in earnest! I’d love to see the snow special feature last until at least January 28, 2009. I love the snow on my blog. Say, in the spring…. thunderstorms??? 🙂

I LOVE the snow! My blog loves it too, I can just tell. Idea! Can we have options for rain and sunshine and clouds and falling leaves year round? (You had to know that would happen)

    Thanks ever so much!

I like that line about kids from 1 to 92,that’s a good massage and a hood.I fall in there somewhere and fit right in too, which is quite unusual for this lil kit.Thaks for sharing this with the snow affect.

Sorry, but snowess means slowness; this feature slowed things waaaaaay down on my site. I discontinued it and my site perked right up.

San Francisco, our lovely City of Contradictions, may *never snow, but it at least always makes us think it will at any minute. In the words of Samuel Clemens (Mark Twain), “The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.” Today’s snow is no mere snow, but the realization of a promise SF weather has been making for a long time. Don’t just apply snow to your page; apply San Francisco Snow.
