This page explains special requirements for domains with the .mx extension.
Anyone can register a .mx, and .com.mx domain. Please note that we only support these two .mx TLDs.
The “state” value is mandatory in the registrant contact info. If you list MX as the country, a list of valid Mexican states will appear as a drop down in the registrant contact form.
Privacy is not supported for .mx domains.
If the domain is allowed to expire, you can still renew at the normal price (Renewal Grace Period) for up to approximately 40 days after expiration. After that, the domain enters into the Redemption Grace Period.
Transfers to another registrar require 10 days to process. You can expedite this by confirming the transfer – see Completing the transfer.
There is no restriction on transfers during the first 60 days of registration. Similarly, there is no transfer lock applied as a result of a contact info update.
