Bio
I'm just a run-of-the-mill guy with nothing special about me other than my desire to learn about myself and the world around me. My first real love in the world was animation and new media. My collegian career up to that point was focused on learning every tool I could get my hands on. 20 years later, I'm still driven to learn every program that I possibly can. As a result, I've learned to proficiently use more than 30 Adobe and third-party programs.
Two years into my collegian career, I was given the opportunity for a full-funded private scholarship to Purdue University, where I earned my bachelor's of science in a mechanical engineering program called, Organizational Leadership and Supervision, I decided to hit the opportunity head on. Knowing I was never going to go to college without the scholarship, it behooved me to spend moment studying and learning. I sacrificed most social opportunities because I knew I was facing an opportunity do something that would both fully challenge me and provide deep meaning so that I could become the best version of myself. The seeds of Timeless Perspective were planted in those times, the Fall of 2008.
This experience led me to use what I'd learned about transformational leadership and apply it to the field of Organizational/Industrial Psychology, where I specialized in company culture, psychoanalytic applications, and comparative religion/philosophy. This unique education has allowed me the rare opportunity to work in dozens of very interesting fields.
First, I worked as head skill toys demonstrator for the world's biggest children's museum then later as a traveling professional yoyoer, so you will often find me uploading tutorials and videos here. In public schools, I served as special education assistant and later as a counselor and mentor. I've been a professional photographer for 25 years, a professional videographer for 10 years, and a graphic designer for 15 years. Little did I know that my love of learning programs would couple with my practical business education, which would in turn, lend me the luxury of building a legacy. I aim to have courses and lessons to teach these skills, especially as it relates to photography, videography, and graphic design. While also connecting students with professionals working full-time in the industry.
I've spent considerable effort and a large chunk of my life to uncover my own cognitive biases because the truth matters a great deal to me, hence "Timeless Perspective" a paradigm unmoved by trends. This self critical view has afforded me an unbridled look into the different paradigms/world-views that we all tend to construct. Consequently, I've been very perceptive to the problems that we young men face. After working in the public school system for 5 years as a counselor and mentor, I noticed patterns surrounding young men's inability to manifest destiny. Statistically, the lack of a strong masculine role model renders most young men frozen in time, like Peter Pan's lost boys, unable to grow up and accept responsibility and meaning. My goal here is to provide a platform for ALL people, especially young men, to express these things and to give people a place to support their professional growth.
