Bio
January 2006:
For most of the past 15 year I've been wired to opiate-based drugs such as heroin and morphine. I'm also not adverse to dabbling in cocaine and methamphetamine from time to time. When I use, I always use intravenously.
I have been on methadone maintenance therapy three times. Only once with complete compliance. That period lasted four years, during which the only drug I used was methadone through a clinic doctor's prescribing. Upon weaning from methadone, I went a further year of not using anything at all.
Four months ago that year of abstinence ended and I've managed to get myself a strong habit very quickly. For the past four months I've been shooting up four to six injections daily. While I can make do with a hit of any opiate-based drug, primarily I've been doing pharmaceutical morphine since it happens to be conveniently available on the street and (relative to heroin) not too expensive.
And so it goes...
April 2012
Daily use since I started this blog in 2006. Luck enough to have not experienced more than 20 hours between hits in that time. Normally I manage at least 4 injections daily, minimum. If I just stuck to 4 per day that would be good self-management - stress-free maintaining - but many days there's lots more. That "more, more, what the heck, more" is what gets me in trouble, meaning I push myself into situational stresses of having to scramble hard to ensure a constant daily dosing. But hey, no stressing and just maintaining also means no nods, and we just can't have that, can we?
