Bio
My name is David Bingham, and "Mogsdad" has been my online persona since the 1990s, primarily related to the technical side of my professional work. I started this blog in 2015 as a way to provide a richer context to answers I was providing about Google Apps Script via the computing Q&A community, StackOverflow. From there, it's evolved to include other topics that I'm interested in, whether I'm an expert or an explorer.
At the start of 8th grade, I received a Texas Instruments Programmable-57 calculator, which TI called "a powerful super slide rule calculator"! That was my first introduction to computers and programming. Since then, I've lost track of the number of different machines I've programmed on, from assembly-level through OS implementations, device drivers, high-availability fiber-optics systems (that's right - FREAKIN' LAZERS!), distributed high-availability telecom systems, and enterprise-scale full-stack web services and applications for on-demand video streaming and online collaboration. I have an advanced degree in Computer Systems Engineering and have been developing software professionally in one role or another since I was in high school.
About Comments: I moderate all comments, and I'm very picky. If you need help with a programming problem, I encourage you to go to StackOverflow.com.
