Bio
Dan Woog is a lifelong Westporter, who blogs obsessively about his hometown at www.danwoog06880.com. A fulltime freelance writer, his work has appeared in the New York Times, USA Today and Sports Illustrated. His many corporate clients have included Monster.com and Tauck World Discovery. He is the author of 17 books, on topics ranging from soccer to LGBT issues, and an award-winning columnist. “Woog’s World” has appeared in the Westport News every Friday since 1986, while his bi-weekly “The OutField” column is distributed nationally by Q Syndicate. In his spare time, he is head coach of the highly rated Staples High School boys soccer program (www.StaplesSoccer.com), and a nationally known speaker.
