Bio
LaQuisha received an Ed.S. degree in teacher leadership in 2011 while working as an adjunct in psychology. LaQuisha created programs for the social science division, led campus-wide as the part-time representative for the Academic Senate, and strengthened programs for the Vasconcellos Institute for Democracy in Action where they served as Project Coordinator for 2 years. LaQuisha is interested in coaching k-12 educators, is working on 2 children’s books, has published 3 books in the last year, and is a contributing author for “Everyday Occurrences in Social Psychology”. LaQuisha is also the co-founder of Generation Reformation, a nonprofit focused on strengthening community through education and collaboration. LaQuisha is currently the Interim MESA/STEM Coordinator at American River College, believes in the power of education, using one’s voice; and the importance of telling one’s story. In their free time, they enjoy playing kickball, watching movies, and discussing everything “nerdy”.
