Widgets in footers
-
I noticed that the instructions for most of the widgets say to place them in the sidebar. I assume you can put them in the footers as well, but my theme on gives me two options for menu settings which are top & header navigations. Is there no way I can add the footers to the menu setting or is the theme limited? Also I have my privacy, terms & about pages set up on one of my footers, so I can have them @ the bottom like most site do & they are there @ the bottom, but also @ the top navigation as well & hiding them is not working. Any help would be great.

Every theme is uniquely designed. Some have sidebars for widgets. Some have footers for widgets. Some have both. For you theme see here:

@bharathbode
What I posted is correct and you have been reported to Staff as you have established a pattern of reactivating older threads and posting parroted information into them them, or worse still, posting wrong answers.Please stop reactivating threads that have already been answered.
Every time you do that those subscribed to the thread get a useless email containing your parroted remarks that are not required in the first place.

Oh & just an FYI, I can put pretty much any widget in the footers & they will still work but some will put whatever it might be in the footer & it will also be in one of the other navigation’s usually it’s the top. I watched a video on one of the links you provided about my theme & the same page widgets (privacy, terms & about was in both just like mine. Not sure why it doubles the file but I’m good w/ codes so I will figure it out IF it can be done. I took a flash file for a countdown timer that wouldn’t work on my WP.com site since flash files are not allowed on wp.com sites & converted it to a gigya file & it works great. I got it set up counting down to the NFL’s opening night lol. Have a good one & thanks again.
