Why should you link to your blog?

    You have linked to your name.
    You post here with a problem.
    People can immediately help you. And if staff need to help you so can we.

    You have NOT linked to your name.
    You post here with a problem.
    NOBODY can help because they don’t for sure know where your blog is.
    If Staff need to help we have to:
    – copy your name
    – go to the forum database
    – look you up
    – copy your email address
    – go to the users database
    – search for your email
    – and hope you have only 1 blog
    – if you have more than 1, the whole process grinds to a halt until you come back expecting fixes to be written here.

    It comes down to this – do you want speedy help, or slow help?

    Seriously. AND include instructions for the “okay, how do I do that” crowd.

    to edit your profile, go to dashboard, look at the top right corner. next to the signout link is the my profile link. click it and edit from there.

    You know what would be really neat? If staff and the moderators here in the forums got a list of the user’s blogs when we looked at a poster’s profile here in the forums. Damn neat. Really neat. Cooler than neat. Make my life easier. Trent’s too I’m sure.
