Why has searching for other WordPress blogs changed AGAIN! Very frustrated!
-
Why are topics or tags not showing up when I search for other blogs on the “Reader” tab? This is only as of yesterday?
This is very disappointing as I liked the old format to search other blogs from a few months again. Now this has made searching even more challenging!!

Hi,
I don’t have an answer for you (I’m just volunteering to help in the forums), but I’m so sorry you’re frustrated. I hope you get some resolution.
Good luck!

using the browser with all extensions or add-ons disabled
updating the browser to the latest stable version (not a buggy BETA browser version) http://browsehappy.com/

resetting your router and modem and rebooting your computer
then logging in using the secure https:// log-in see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
trying another browserIf those do not work for you then we need to know
(1) how you are connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com. The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. Also note that the main dashboard isn’t designed to work with touch devices through the tablet and smartphone browsers.(2) exactly which browser and version of it are you using. Thanks for the quick response. I thought it was a new change as I still miss the old “topics” tab. The suggestions above have not worked but I will check on my Mac tonight to see if that makes a difference and get back to you.

I have tried my mac as well and have noticed several other people asking similar questions today and yesterday. I am disappointed when you changed the way the old topics tab would format when you click on it. Once again this change appears to be less user friendly.
To reiterate, when I go to read and click on Blogs /Follow in the READER TAB, all the blogs I follow appear and below the “Read more…” line, I see the Topics that are associate with that specific post.
However, when I click on Topics (either saved or new) in the READER TAB and click on any of those post that appear, nothing appears below the “Read more…” line.
I have Google Chrome on my on Window XP, Safari on my Mac and also tried Internet Explorer 8 on my other PC…all with the same result.

Just checking in? I am not necessarily looking for a solution at this point but I am disappointed in what appears to be a change that occurred without an explanation. I found at least 2 others who have asked similar questions without resolution (http://culturechoc2010.wordpress.com/ and http://japecake.wordpress.com/) from the forum.
Thanks for flagging for staff attention and I hope future changes or “enhancements” could potentially be communicated somehow.
