They are the background image https://wordpress.com/themes/strange-little-town/ and you changed it https://s1.wp.com/wp-content/themes/pub/strange-little-town/img/stars.png

Is there a way to change the color and not lose the stars and town? If not, how do I get it back like I had it?

No. When you choose to have a custom background color it overirdes the custom background image with the stars.

To get back the starry background image simply remove the color selection you have made. https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/custom-backgrounds/

Thank you so much, timethief! I got the stars back. Really just wanted to change the pink, but guess that’s not possible and keep the stars, which I really like. Thank you for all your help. :)
