Website Restoration
-
Hello, I deleted my website (thesteiners.wordpress.com) but I want to restore it. When I click on ‘Restore’, I get the error, ‘Only an administrator can restore a deleted site.’I should be the administrator, however – I created the website.
Help please

If you’re experiencing the same issue, you can try a few things: make sure you’re using the correct login details, check your user role to confirm you’re the administrator, and contact WordPress support for help. Provide them with any information proving you own the site, like the email you used to create it. Hopefully, they can assist you in restoring your site.

@markjons393 My issue has not been resolved. On an earlier date, someone had the same issue and an employee came to his comment section, fixed it for him, and said that anyone who has the same issue should post it here. I did, but still no reply.

Hi there @arinstein. I reviewed your account History and it looks like thesteiners.wordpress.com was renamed to testingesta.wordpress.com five days ago. This would explain why thesteiners.wordpress.com no longer shows any content.
Could you please check testingesta.wordpress.com and confirm if that site matches the one you are missing?
Thank you!

@mrfoxtalbot No they are not the same site. I deleted the site with the domain “thesteiners.wordpress.com” and wish to restore it back. However, I created another site with the same name “The Steiners” with the domain address “testingesta.wordpress.com”. They are different sites.

Thank you for clarifying this @arinstein. I can confirm that we have been able to restore thesteiners.wordpress.com as you requested. You should be able to access your site now.

@mrfoxtalbot Yes, I think now it has been restored, thanks. However, now I have lost access to the domain address. although I am using the same WordPress account.

However, now I have lost access to the domain address.
Could you confirm the exact name of the domain you are missing? Thanks!
I also have a same question for this website- https://www.acecovalves.com/
@valvesaceco, it does not look like the domain you mention is registered with or pointed to a WordPress.com site. The domain appears to be registered via networksolutions.com and points to a worldnic.com server. I would recommend reaching out to them to help you gather more details.
If you need further support, please open a separate forum thread, thank you!

This is the exact name of the domain I am missing: “thesteiners.wordpress.com”

@mrfoxtalbot Check the screenshot. The site (thesteiners.wordpress.com) I created with the account I have logged inti right now is not visible in the sites list.

Hi @arinstein. Thank you for the screenshot, it helped me figure out what was happening and fix it. If you reload your dashboard, thesteiners.wordpress.com should be listed there now.
