Website not working, Dashboard links not working
-
I’m sorry … I’m SUPER inexperienced with this and hoping someone can help.
I have a wordpress.com website: http://www.keithwattsmusic.wordpress.com
As you can see, the theme is making the site look all wonky (even though it had been working fine when I had first set it up a month or so ago).
Now, when I try to log in to my wordpress.com account, I get sent to what I believe is my ‘Reader’ page. None of the links or anything are showing up … just what appears to be loading images/links (which never actually load). And when I go to ‘My Site’ –> the left toolbar ‘Personalize’ — ‘Theme’ — ‘Customize,’ I just get a page that says ‘Please select a site:’ with nothing appearing under… (excpet those loading images).
Screenshot of what my ‘Reader’ page is like: <img src=”http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll61/keithwattsjr/Screen%20Shot%202015-11-27%20at%208.57.44%20PM.png” border=”0″ alt=” photo Screen Shot 2015-11-27 at 8.57.44 PM.png”/>
Screenshot of what what I get after I click customize: <img src=”http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll61/keithwattsjr/Screen%20Shot%202015-11-27%20at%208.58.12%20PM.png” border=”0″ alt=” photo Screen Shot 2015-11-27 at 8.58.12 PM.png”/>
I think it’s something about my theme that is throwing things off? But now, I don’t have access to change my theme, because the Customize page won’t even load… unless there’s another way? Or unless that’s not the issue at all…?
That is the best I can explain. Please let me know how else I can provide information.
Many thanks!

Clear your browser’s cache and delete the cookies
https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cacheAlso, check that you are running the latest version of your browser
http://browsehappy.com/Alternatively, you can use a different browser or another computer just in case there’s something wrong with your computer or your browser.

I’ve tried these things already, and it’s still not working for me.
What else can I try?

Hi there,
I went to take a look at the photobucket screen shot images and it appears that you’ve taken them down? I also viewed your website and it looks set up properly. Is that the same theme you were having issues with earlier?
Also, were you going to http://www.keithwattsmusic.wordpress.com/wp-admin to reach your dashboard?
Let me know, thanks!

Oops. Ok, I wasn’t going in through wp admin before. However, now that I am trying it through there, this is what it looks like when I try to log into wp admin. Now it’s a long list of links: http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll61/keithwattsjr/Screen%20Shot%202015-12-02%20at%209.57.52%20PM.png
This is what it looks like when I’m looking at my site:
http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll61/keithwattsjr/Screen%20Shot%202015-12-02%20at%209.58.41%20PM.pngI’ve also tried different browsers and clearing cache and cookies.

Go to your browsers extensions menu and remove or disable any suspicious extensions.
Also, scan your system with AdwareMedic, a Mac OS adware/malware remover. -

Thanks again, you all, for trying to help me out here. Let’s see ….
@fstat …. Hmmm when I try to visit fstat.net it looks messed up: http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll61/keithwattsjr/Screen%20Shot%202015-12-04%20at%2011.45.31%20AM.png
Or darnelldibbles’ page (darnelldibbles.com), it’s giving me the weird list of links, too: http://i285.photobucket.com/albums/ll61/keithwattsjr/Screen%20Shot%202015-12-04%20at%2011.45.06%20AM.png
So it’s not just mine that looks funny, I guess.
bruceallen’s page however (bostonsportsmedia.com) works just fine.

But to answer your question fully, as for other websites that I visit regularly (Facebook, email, WordPress forums), those are fine. Hahaha. It seems like just wordpress.com sites are the ones that are acting up for me.

It looks like your browsers don’t load CSS at all.
Try and reset your browsers to defaults.
Safari: Go to the menu Safari > Reset Safari
Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/3296214?hl=en
Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settingsAlso, log out and log in to WordPress.com

Is there another way my browsers can load the CSS? I just reset my browsers to default as well and they still can’t process the CSS.
keithwattsmusic.com redirects to the keithwattsmusic.wordpress.com site, is it possible the redirecting messes up things? Might it have anything to do with my domain host in general?

Do you have any security software installed? (Antivirus, firewall, VPN)
If you do, disable it and try again. -
-
Have you tried another computer or device (phone, tablet) on your network?
Sometimes it’s your router or your internet provider. The weird thing is that this happens only on the WordPress.com domain.
