I have just installed w.Bloggar, but I cannot get it working. What should I enter when it ask for path?
-
Enter the following information:
Host: yourblogname.wordpress.com
Path: /xmlrpc.phpHope this helps!
-
“Unable to parse the XML response.” The reason seem to be that the response contains not allowed DTD and something like blackquotes, address, center and so on is expected.
Can it be related to the server problems ?
-
I think it is very likely to be related to the current server outrage. Bad time to be trying out w.Bloggar. :P
The setting I’d just posted above works for me.

it doesn’t work whit me I get this on my screen: “unable to parse the XML response. Parser Reason:Het vereiste kenmerk ontbreekt
Het vereiste kenmerkontbreekt means there is a missing part
-
Dennis – you got the host and path information in correctly yes?
Is there anything about this on the W Bloggar site?
I installed the app the other day and “it just worked” with the setting as posted by atinyblip.

I have the same problem with w.bloggar.
My error is:
HTTP POST failed. The error number is the returned HTTP status code.
Can anyone help me? -
I had that happen to me. Several times. And then on a subsequent try it just worked. I have no idea why it failed (I was trying to use it for ages) and even looking over their site found nothing.

and just keep trying? -
-
cornell – I don’t know why it doesn’t work. I keep on trying.
I think it is something whit XML -

I was able to use BAC with the following settings for one of my blogs here.
$bac_server = “kpremixed.wordpress.com”; // the server receiving your crossposts
$bac_path = “/xmlrpc.php”; // the path to the xmlrpc engineNote there’s no http:// in there.
IIRC correctly though, you also had to give it the numerical setting for the category you wanted the post to drop into to get it to work. Its been awhile since I’ve tried though.
-
I couldn’t get mine working either for awhile. It works now. Here are the settings:
HOST: yourusername.wordpress.com
EX: jayinvt.wordpress.comPATH : /xmlrpc.php
Do not put your username or anyting else in the PATH entry, just the /xmlrpc.phpPORT: 443 Check the HTTPS box.
That should work with w.bloggar!!!
Hope this helps. -
W.bloggar has a problem and there is no response from the support people.
When it tries to ping, it is pinging the wrong address at weblogs.com
The weblogs.com interface was changed and now requires that a different address be pinged.
Does anyone know the blogar people and can get them to fix this?
-
I typed “Bloggar Support” into my webbrowser and found what you need here http://wbloggar.com/index.php?itemid=168
There is a fourm and a contact page. Frankly, I’m surprised you didn’t think of this yourself but perhaps you did contact them directly and I misunderstood you. -
There has been a bug report in the forum since May 21 about this but no response from support.
-
There is also no response from the information on the contact page since early May, 2006.

Sheesh that’s really the pits. But what can we do about it here? I believe cornell and podz both use bloggar maybe they will have some advice.
