Vigilance: sidebar falling to bottom of page
-
Hello fellow bloggers! I’ve activated the Viligance theme but there’s a problem. Instead of being side by side with the entries, the WHOLE sidebar appears at the bottom of the page, below the entries (see the problem here: kevintranslatorsnotes.wordpress.com). What could be the reason? Any help will be appreciated.

I am having the very same issue with the vigilence theme – my sidebar is dropping to the bottom of the page.

W3C validator is saying you have 89 errors on your main page and from what I can see they are mostly open HTML tags.
Go to settings > writing and select “WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and click save changes.
Next, open each post on your main page for edit, make one minor change (such as adding a space and then deleting it) and then click “update post” and wordpress should correct all the open tags that are being reported by the W3C validator.

Thank you. I actually went back and set my page to display one post at a time, found the post that was causing the problem, and now everything looks good.

Glad you got it sorted out. I would still do as I suggest though as those errors can come back to haunt you later. Just a suggestion.
