User full page template for blog posts in Dara theme
-
Is there a way to use the full page template for blog posts in Dara theme? Currently, I am using full page templates for my pages (e.g. https://onwpcom.wordpress.com/sitemap/) however when I look at blog page/ posts (e.g. https://onwpcom.wordpress.com/blog/) the page width suddenly shrinks and it looks odd.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there – I see what you mean. I’ll ask our developers to take a look at this and see what they’d like to do.

@lightsportman, it’s always better to start your own thread to get help.
https://lightsportman.com/blog/ is using Escutcheon theme. You can activate it for your blog from https://wordpress.com/theme/escutcheon/ page.

I would also be interested in a solution for this.
I’m using WordPress for the first time, I have activated the Dara theme and set all the pages to the Full Width template under Page Attributes, and like how this looks. However, the blog page doesn’t have the option to set this, and therefore displays in a narrower format to all the other pages, giving an inconsistency to the site. It would be great if there was a solution for this!

@warden91: I’ve added your feedback to Kathryn’s original report.
A workaround is to add a widget to your site’s sidebar (this can be done by navigating to Widgets > Sidebar in the WordPress.com Customizer. Adding a widget to the sidebar will increase the width of your site’s blog page so that it matches the width of the other pages on your site. If you don’t want anything to display in the sidebar then you could add a blank Text Widget to achieve the same effect.
Hope that helps!
