Use first image as featured is not working

  My theme has a checkbox that I can use the first image of the post as a featured image automatically, and worked well until today, where all my posts lost this automatic featured image, only showing the image in posts I manually set those images.
  Why this stopped working and how can I fix it?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I have the very same problem with my blog also cant find a way to fix it.
  The problem started a couple of days ago.
