Two-Column Theme Change

    I am currently using Coraline and want to change to a theme that displays the photographs more powerfully. I’m frustrated because in the feature filter I put “two-columns” but whenever I do a live demo it shows my blog in a single column (it’s currently 2-column). I want to know how large the photos will be in two-column format before I make a change. Also, a couple of the themes I’m considering are premium and you have to buy them before you can really see what the posts will look like in 2-column format. Any suggestions?
