Twitter timeline widget not working
-
Hi, I’m trying to include my Twitter timeline on my free WordPress blog (pupandcoming.wordpress.com) but get only a ‘Follow me on Twitter’ heading and ‘My tweets’. I don’t know if this is normal or not but every time I add my widget ID and hit ‘save’, the ID disappears. It’s driving me mad. Please help!

How long after you used this guide https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-timeline-widget/ did you wait for the data, which is cached to update and appear on your sites?

The URL linked to your username connects to a deleted site. What is the URL starting with http:// of the site you refer to?On your Admin bar on the top right hover over your gravatar and then click the Account settings link. https://wordpress.com/me/account
On that page note the Primary Site and the website URL fields and enter the relevant data for your active site.
Then click “save account settings”.

Hi there,
Please be sure you use the widget ID described here:
http://support.wordpress.com/widgets/twitter-timeline-widget/#widget-id
The widget ID is only the number you see in the URL while editing your Twitter widget, nothing more, so if you enter more than that it may be removed when you save the widget.
If that still doesn’t work for you, please let us know what widget ID you are trying to enter and we can investigate that.

@rachelmcr
Thanks so much — that worked. That really isn’t clear when you’re doing it, so thank you.
