Twenty Ten Background Graphic

    I want to put a graphic for the background on Twenty Ten – a shaded color of some sort – shading running down the page – what would be a good size to try? I put a smaller one up and it tiled but I don’t want to tile this.

    The header image is 940×198 px – maybe that can give you some idea of how big you want the image to be?

    If you need more precise information, could you describe how you want the background to look like?

    My thought is to have the background image / color go full width of the browser – if I make it too wide will I get a bottom scroll bar (bad) or will Twenty Ten just throw away the extra width (good)

    The other part is to have a color gradient that changes from one color to another with blending in between and the height to be several Posts (or Browser windows) high – gradient thought is medium to lighter from top to bottom.
