Twenty Eleven White Box/Border Issue
-
I recently acquired a client using an outdated Twenty Eleven theme and even more outdated WordPress version.
I updated themes first, no problems. When I updated the WP version, the site now displays a white/light grey border from the header image to the middle of page.
I tried various CSS adjustments from the forums thinking it had to do with the image, border, drop shadow, etc. None have worked thus far. I may be way off base.
Here’s a few examples :

An older forum post talked about mobile vs responsive settings which I have not tried yet. (https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/removal-of-white-border-around-mobile-theme-header)
Admittedly, this site is a bit outdated and will be updated with a new theme later this year. Looking for a fix to the “box issue.” Thanks for the help.
