Total blog word count

    I’ve already seen a few Support threads about this one: I think there should be a total blog word count (i.e. sum of all posts’ word counts) statistic displayed somewhere. Perhaps in the Stats Insights page, alongside all-time posts count, etc.

    There are some plug-ins already available for this, but even if the WP team were to implement this from scratch, I imagine it wouldn’t take long to code.

    I know there are bloggers like me who prefer to write longer posts rather to post more often, and such a counter would give us a better sense of achievement than the existing post count.
