Timing Out

  I have been trying to transfer my Blogger files to WordPress and it keeps timing out. What do you suggest I do?

  I had trouble too. So what I did was to get up very early west coast USA time and imported only a few at a time. The problem in my case was not on the WP end it was on the Blogger end. By getting up very early and doing only a few at a time I was assured of a Blogger connection that didn’t time out.I experienced success after a great deal of previous frustration. Also I would add that you should reove all pimages at the Blogger end and then re-insert them here if you don’t want to run into the time out problem. Know this though that your drafts will not be exported. They must be a copy and paste job. Good luck.

  Please excuse the stupid typos above. I now have my eyeglasses on. What I meant to say was you could remove all images to speed the process.

  Are you getting any of your posts to come over? You might have to go back and delete the ones over there to make it a smaller site to get WP.com to pull them all.
