Themes with Circles for a website/blog
-
Hello,
I am new to wordpress.
I would like to create a website and a blog using a grid theme (3 columns). Also, instead of having squares for the insert of pictures to have circles and to be an infinite scroll. All the similar themes I found, have the right number of columns but the layout of image inserts are squares.
I can’t find something like this in the existing library.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or you are aware about a specific theme.Thank you
Yarn
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Take a look at the Visual theme. If you use the circle gallery feature it might be what you want.

Your response is very helpful! :)Also, what I found in a google search is the following theme but there is not in the library of themes. Is there any particular reason?
http://carolinethemes.com/2012/11/04/spun/I am trying to achieve something like the following link:
http://yarnatlab.tumblr.com/Ideally, I would like to have my website and blog in wordpress than having different platforms. After, I am going to achieve it I will delete my tumblr blog.
Again, thank you for your help.
Kind Regards

You could suggest that theme in the ideas forum. It looks like wp.com has already adapted a number of her other themes, so they might consider adding it. Or if you like, I can move this thread to the ideas forum for you.
At this point though, it is not available here.
There may be other themes that would work for you. When you look through the themes link I gave you above remember that some themes have options which don’t necessarily show in the pictures. For example the number of columns displayed may vary. You can set your wp.com site to private or not searchable by Google (etc.) so you can actually play with specific themes.

1tess,
Excuse my ignorance but this is the second time I am logged in and I am trying to figure out things.
Yes it would be a great to add the theme in the ideas forum.
I don’t know how to do it, but if you have some time maybe you can add it there.I am planning to spend some time familiarising with wordpress.
Hopefully, soon I will be able to further understand the various features and plug-ins and to further explore the themes and graphic options.Thank you for your time and effort.

Please read this comparison so you are clear on the differences between free hosted WordPress.com blogs and WordPress.org install for self hosting. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The Spun theme is a WordPress.org theme and cannot be used on free hosted WordPress.com blogs. if you wish to request that the theme be adapted to run on our software and added to our Themes Showcase http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ then see here please.
2. Post a suggestion for a new theme
Please give us the theme name, a link to view the theme, and—most importantly—why you like it and would love to have it on WordPress.com.
Please search the forum first for a suggestion on the same theme. If it exists, add your vote to the same topic and add a note about why you like the theme. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-to-use-the-themes-forum?replies=1
Create a new theme suggestion thread in the Themes Forum by clicking this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/themes
NOTE: There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins or upload any third party themes.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/The only themes you can use on a free hosted WordPress.com blog are those found here > Appearance > Themes and showcased here > http://wordpress.com/themes
There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes anything at all stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

My apology for assuming that you did already understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.ORG. Perhaps you did not: timethief has posted details above about the differences. I did not mean to confuse you.
You showed me a theme you like which is available only for wp.ORG, the paid for self hosted type of wordpress. The designer of that theme has themes available for both free and paid versions of wordpress (let’s not get into the other VIP etc. variations here). But the one you like is only for the wp.org self-hosted version.
I’ll add a tag for a theme request here and also make a note in the ideas forum for you.
As for my suggestion to play around with the themes available here on wp.com, that is still a good idea. It will get you acclimated to using wordpress software for free. While the paid versions are different, many of the words/jargon/techniques are similar in both, especially if you use Jetpack with the paid version. Here is a tutorial and lexicon to get started:
http://learn.wordpress.com/
http://en.support.wordpress.com/lexicon/You can use the import tool on wp.com (free hosting) to bring your content here so you can play or experiment with different themes here for no charge with the content you actually have:

Howdy! Just a note to say, we’ve added Spun to WordPress.com. Thanks again for the requests, and please enjoy!
