Theme withdrawn??

  • Hi,
    we are using the free “Freshy” theme by Jide for our blog but noticed that the layout and appearance seems to be broken this morning. Do themes ever get withdrawn without warning? I checked the theme list and it no longer appears in there?
    If it has been removed, can we please have it back????

  • When you check out the theme lists the theme you’re currently using won’t show up on the list, so don’t worry about that. If you’re talking about this blog http://leicestershiremuseums.wordpress.com/ then everything looks alright (all right?), can you be more specific about what looks broken?

  • It appears like plain text, lacking styling and layout that usually comes with the theme (looks awful on my PC!)

    OK thank you, perhaps its a strange caching problem here then… although I did check it in FF and IE and checked another of our blogs which uses the same theme – all of which appeared in plain unstyled text.
    Very strange….

  • I checked in FF, Chrome and Safari and it all looks good… so your visitors shouldn’t notice a difference, so that’s good anyway. The standard forum response for something like this is to log out, clear your cache and log back in. Give it a shot, if it doesn’t work hopefully one of the volunteers can help out. There’s also the support staff… http://support.wordpress.com/

  • @ leicestershiremuseums, log out of wordpress, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then try again.

  • Unfortunately, none of your suggestions made a difference, the blog still looks awful :-(
    Interestingly, it also looks the same on four colleagues computers – we are all on the same County Council network.

    Will try to view it from my laptop at home this evening and see how it appears.
    If it appears correctly, then I’ll know it’s a problem with caching on our organisation’s network and can get our ICT guys to look into it.
