Theme formatting suddenly broken
-
Parts of the theme/widget formatting on our site http://nrrcgreen.wordpress.com/ have suddenly broken (see Recent Posts, the top of Hot Topics (tag cloud) and Authors). It’s a free WordPress.com site, so administrators don’t have access to code, including css, so I’m not sure how this could have happened.
I just upgraded to FF 9.0.1 today and thought that might be it, but it is screwed up on IE 8 also. Any help will be appreciated. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Please try this > Go to Settings > Writing and select “ ___ WordPress should correct invalidly nested XHTML automatically” and then scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Now, starting with your latest post, open it in the editor, make one minor change such as adding a space and then deleting it, and then click “Update Post.” Check your blog and see if it is back to normal.

Thanks, timethief. That fixed 2 of the 3 widget problems. But the top item in Hot Topics is still goofy.

Try opening the Tag Cloud widget > click “save” and then “close” and see it that does anything.

I’m all out of ideas and Staff aren’t available until January 2nd. :( Hopefully another Volunteer will have a solution for you.

Does anyone else have any suggestions? While the remaining glitch isn’t a show-stopper, it detracts from the site and could be perceived as a problem/bug with WordPress. Again, look at the first item in the tag cloud: http://nrrcgreen.wordpress.com/

Volunteers do not have backend access to blogs and cannot apply technical fixes. Your blog needs Staff intervention and here’s the link to use to contact Staff.

Good. :) Here’s a tip. Do not keep sending emails to Staff on the same issue as many do. They deal with the first support tickets received first and submitting again and again simply places one’s support ticket at the end of the queue.
