THE MEANING AND IMPLICATION OF PRIMARY SITE

    On the list of My Blogs, there is a column labeled “primary.”

    There is no explanation of the meaning or implication of the word.

    I tried changing what was marked “primary” and it seems to have re-ordered the list of my sites which appears on a drop list at each site.

    What is the purpose of this designation?

    Hi @chuckman2, the primary site is the site we pick if you haven’t explicitly specified another. So if you head to WordPress.com and click on My Site, for example, you’ll be automatically directed to the admin panel for your primary site. You can still click ‘Switch Site’ to access a different one. Or if you’re visiting some other site and click on the My Sites link, you’ll get tools for that site.

    But if another site is not specified, you’ll get the primary site. I hope that helps.
