  So glad it is not me thinking this!! I agree with you. I absolutely hate this new editor and not sure why they break something that actually worked!!

  Just bring back the classic editor and all the complaints will stop, WordPress!

  Two posts on October 24 answered most queeries with respect to getting the Classic editor back. It is indeed still there, and still functional. You just need to know where to look for it. These two posts will show you. Best of luck!
