Sticky post in 2022 not sticking!

  I’ve checked one post of my first 3 to stay at the top using the check box in post editing. However it does not seem to do anything and the post is just moving down as i write the next one.
  I am using 2022 in WordPress.com on Firefox/Linux. Thanks for any help
