For some reason when I click on the “stats” today I just see the whirling disc…. Are there problems with this?

When pages don’t load think —–> browser related issue.
There’s no known issue I am aware of.
In order to help you we need to know your specific computing environment details. Please work through what follows and report back.
1. If you are not running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/ please try upgrading or switching first.
2. If you are using an IE browser in compatibility mode please disable that mode. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html
3. If you are running one of the browsers and versions listed at http://browsehappy.com/
(a) Try clearing your browser’s cache http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
If applicable see here for instructions on how to clear the cache for Chrome and Safari on the iPad:
http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/safari-ipad-clear-cache.htm
http://browsers.about.com/od/howtousemobilebrowser1/ss/How-To-Clear-Browsing-Data-In-Chrome-For-Ipad_6.htm(b) Make sure that you have both third-party cookies enabled and JavaScript enabled
http://en.support.wordpress.com/third-party-cookies/
http://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=12654(c) Disable all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily.
(d) Try enabling HTTPS: http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Add both *.wordpress.com and *.wp.com to your list of trusted sites under the Security tab. Make sure to uncheck the box for “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone.” http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/#frequently-asked-questions
4. You can use this link to see if your flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not then go to http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/ and download and install the latest version of flash.
5. Try using another browser.
6. If you are not successful let us know:
(a) Exactly what kind of device you are using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com.
(b) Exactly which browser (and version of it) you’re using by checking here if necessary http://www.whatbrowser.org/
(c) Exactly what you experience including what any error reports you receive state. -
@ timethief:
There are 2 threads on this (neither was started by me), meaning that at least 3 of us have experienced this very recently. That probably points to something other than a browser issue.
-
I have the same problem so clearly there is an issue. Can it please be reported to the technical people?
-
The stats page is doing the same thing for me. Just the circling ‘loading’ things are there. I’m on a Wii U browser, and everything was working fine 12 hours ago.

I have the same problem. Using a Mac and have tested with the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. None will load the stats.
-
Now I’m experiencing it too so I’ll tag this thread for Staff.
Operating System – Windows Windows 7
Web Browser – Firefox 27.0
Javascript – Enabled
Cookies – Enabled
Flash Version – 12.0.-1 -
I see the problem at: https://wordpress.com/my-stats/
But not at Dashboard >> Home >> Stats
-
The same is happening with mine, and I haven’t been able to see the stats on my phone for over 12 hours.
-
The way Staff solve issues is by collecting enough information from us to duplicate the issue. Once they can duplicate it they can trace the cause and apply the fix. If anyone else posting here would like to post their computing environment details the way I did above at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/stats-not-working-today?replies=11#post-1646920 that may prove to be helpful to getting a fix more quickly.

Yup, circles circling here, too
Operating System – Windows 7
Web Browser -Chrome V ersion 32.0.1700.107 m “up to date”
Javascript – Enabled
Cookies – Enabled
Flash Version – 12.0.0.44 -
I can tell you publicly that I have my browser set to clear the entire cache every time it is closed.
I also posted this in another thread:
However, I did find that if I click on “Months” on the bar graph, everything will display (even if the bar graph shows days instead of months.) And then after I went to “Summaries” and came back, things were okay again.
If it was a very temporary thing, I should mention that a scheduled post “missed schedule” during this time window, in case it helps with finding a cause. (The post did publish after a few minutes.)

Yep ….
Software is making a call and not getting an answer. I.e., infinite loop.

I use Ubuntu 11.10 with Chrome
I get the numbers under the bar, and nothing else with the stats.
On my phone, I use Android, it just keeps saying, stats not available at this time, or something like that.

I’ve been having the same problem for hours and I know others are too. I’m using Windows 8 and the latest version of firefox. The other info I don’t know how to find.
