Spun theme – limit circles
-
Hi,
I have always had 8 circles on my front page but last night my site changed to show 15. Don’t know how this happened – under settings > reading it still says 8 posts.
Any ideas?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, I’m going to chat with our developers about this, but if you could answer a couple questions first, it would help us in figuring out what caused the change.
Have you made any changes to your site, such as adding footer widgets?
Did you recently disable infinite scroll? (Settings > Reading under “To infinity and beyond”?
-
Recently I have changed the background & text/link color of the blog -white > red + black/red > white/black.
I did swap the Twitter widget to the central sidebar (2) from the right sidebar (3).
I can’t see any setting like that under ‘reading’.
-
Oh, under reading it just says
We’ve changed this option to a click-to-scroll version for you since you have footer widgets in Appearance → Widgets, or your theme uses click-to-scroll as the default behavior.
And when I swap the widgets back there are still 15 circles

I checked the Google Archive, and on March 6, your site was showing 10 on the main page: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:n7cBL1sKRVsJ:inthedrops.net/+&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us

I’m going to chat with the developers on this, but from my research Spun has always had 5 in each row (drops to 3 per row at 1200px width and 2 per row at 600px width) and it will always display complete rows with 15 being the limit per page. If we showed 8 per page, then the rows would not be even. Each press of the Older Posts button loads another 15.
I also checked on theme updates, and the only updates since December of 2015 were language file (translation) updates. No updates to the theme files themselves.
-
oh, guess it was 10. I remembered 2 rows rather than 3 anyway.
I changed the limit to show at most 10 posts but it still shows 15

On Spun, due to the 5-across layout, the show at most setting at Settings > Reading is disabled as I remember. I’ll verify that with our theme developers and let you know.

Hi, our developer got back with me and confirmed that it is the way that the theme and software works in Spun. It is not something that can be change with CSS.
