Simple Sandbox question
-
OK, I’ve played around with The Journalist theme enough to make me want to give a shot at designing a theme using Sandbox. But I’m stumped at the start. How do I get the three-column layout? TIA
-
@vivian, you might want to take a look at the CSS for this 3-column sandbox theme: http://www.upstartblogger.com/wordpress-sandbox-theme-upstart-blogger-takimata

There is this one as well: http://blogosquare.com/2007/10/04/widejournal-myjournal-hypereal-adapted-for-large-resolution/ .
They might give you some ideas at the very least.

I don’t have to.
You can split the sidebar in two
#primary {}
and#secondary {}
and drag them to anywhere you want them to be.If that’s what you mean by 3-column. I’m new to CSS, still learning. Sorry if I made mistakes.
-
The easiest way is just to select the three-column Sandbox skin when you apply the theme to your blog.
-
It also gives you the choice of having both on the left, both on the right, or one on each side.
-
rosclarke – that’s where I’m stumped. I’ve seen reference after reference to selecting the 3-column skin but I swear I don’t see anyplace to select it. Can you point me exactly to it?
-
OK, I think I’ve found it! I just re-activated the Sandbox theme on my test blog and included under options is the skins.
I suspect that was added after the last time I tried to work on this. Thanks to all for your help.
