Shorten excerpt length

Add topic to favorites
On category pages, before it says “continue reading” (or “lees verder” in Dutch), I would like to shorten those excerpts.

Also, the same for the length of the text under the sticky posts on the front page. How to shorten the amount of text before it says “continue reading” (“lees verder”)?

The Morning After supports Custom Excerpts, so you can use that feature to create the excerpt you want on each of your posts.

Of course, I see.
Still that will be a lot of editing for >100 posts, no way to change anything in the CSS to make that easier?

The default excerpt length is defined in the WordPress core software and there isn’t a way to change that with CSS. It can be overridden in the theme php script files, but we cannot edit those at WordPress.com.
