Share / Like button on Side Menu?
-
I know you can add a Share / Like button to an individual blog post. I don’t want to have to keep doing that. I would prefer to just have a Share button, such as the one for AddToAny appear as a widget in my side menu. However these buttons use Javascript so they don’t function properly. I added this code to the text widget. When you click it, it takes you to the AddToAny site which is expected since it can’t launch a pop-up drown down using Javascript. But it fails to grab the URL of my blog page I clicked the button from.
<!– AddToAny BEGIN –>
<img src=”http://static.addtoany.com/buttons/share_save_171_16.png” width=”171″ height=”16″ border=”0″ alt=”Share”/>
<script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://static.addtoany.com/menu/page.js”></script>
<!– AddToAny END –>However at the share button at the bottom of the particular post works properly. But that is because the bookmark tool I use to insert that automatically inserts the page URL also.
So is there no way to have a functional Share or Like button permanently fixed in the menu?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

But this does:
Put the link and image to Facebook in a Text Widget. If they’re in the sidebar, they’ll probably only Like and Share your entire blog, not the individual posts, but you can put them there if you have the actual code.
