Set Up Email Authentication For Your Domain
-
I am trying to To edit your DNS settings on WordPress.com and add the necessary DNS records for Active Campaign authentication, follow these steps:
Visit your site’s dashboard.
Navigate to Upgrades → Domains (or Hosting → Domains if using WP-Admin).
Click on the domain you want to edit the DNS settings for.
Select ‘DNS records’, then click the ‘Manage’ button.
Click the ‘Add a record’ button at the top right to add your first DNS record.
For DKIM records, you can follow the instructions provided by Active Campaign on how to set up a DKIM record. You can typically add DKIM records as TXT records in your DNS settings. For DMARC records, you can also add them as TXT records in your DNS settings. The specific values for the DMARC record will be provided by Active Campaign.
To add an SPF record, follow these steps:
– In the Type box, select TXT.
– Leave the Name box empty.
– In the Text box, add v=spf1 include:_spf.wpcloud.com include:_spf.google.com ~all.
– Click the ‘Add DNS record’ button to save the TXT record. If you already have an SPF record, you just need to add include:_spf.google.com before the final ~all in the record value.
By following these steps, you can successfully add the necessary DNS records (DKIM, DMARC, SPF) to authenticate and verify your domain in Active Campaign. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, feel free to reach out for help!
