Seriously Simple Podcast Play Button Won’t Work
-
Hi,
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1YwT1GRvrioMDi3s9icq-g3PE1Mr-IBOm/view?usp=sharing
When we post a podcast episode through our host, the play button on the episode page doesn’t work. However, we are able to download the .mp3 file or play it in a new window, so I’m not sure why this occurs. I’ve shared an image illustrating my issue.
I’ve opened a ticket with Castos as well to help resolve this, but I want to make sure I’m exhausting all of my options. On the Castos support page, it mentions something about NGINX, but I don’t understand the lingo.
Is this something I can fix through WordPress itself?
Anything helps. Thank you.

I don’t see any WordPress.com sites under your account here.
What is the URL of the site with the problem?

Hey there, could you send a link to the web page you’re having trouble with? I don’t see any sites associated with this account.
Just to clarify too, if you’re managing your own copy of WordPress with a different host, you’ll want to use the correct forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/Or you’d be welcome to move your site to our services so we can take care of hosting, security, and support for you:

This is the website section I’m referring to. You can click on any of the episodes on this page and find the same issue I mentioned above. Although I’ve updated a few areas and I think I’ve messed it up. Sometimes it shows up like this for me now: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zJTa29ZuIOZWrXTD-ePo1j2IWSneImRQ/view?usp=sharing
I am an administrator for my companies website (Wildstory.com), but when I log in as myself it takes me to a separate WordPress page as if I’m a separate entity with no website. Should I be using the owner’s log in to have this conversation? Am I doing something wrong? I don’t know if we have a WordPress.com or .org but I can assure you we do use WordPress. I meant that we have a podcast publishing host.
So lost here…really appreciate you all helping out.

Ahh okay.
I can see the site does use WordPress.org, hosted by GoDaddy I think!
From my viewpoint I can’t see what’s causing problems on the site, but I can see something seems wrong — your CSS isn’t loading, for example. And that’s making it harder to get a clear idea of what you’re hoping to do.

I think it’s because you’re logging into WordPress.com, but you should be logging in at https://www.wildstory.com/wp-admin because this is a separate copy of WordPress.org with a different host.
Want to give that a try? Then going forward, you’ll also want to use the correct forums for self-managed installations, at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Or, you’d be welcome to migrate your site to our services. You can find our pricing here:
