Rss read more link

  • Dears,

I’m a bit lost in the RSS management process. When I create an article it is directly published as RSS, which is perfect.
However, neither the read more link or the excerpt are taken into consideration. Meaning, when I use Feedly to read my RSS feed I can read the full article instead of being redirected to the website.

Do you have any clue how to fix it?

    Thank you

  • Hi there, it looks like your site at atubox.net is not using WordPressdotcom nameservers, so it is likely that you are using the standalone WP software.

In general, for help with your standalone WP site, you’ll want to search the WP Codex or search the forums at https://wordpress.org/support for similar issues. Here is general info from the Codex on RSS Feeds: https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Feeds

Just to clarify, this support forum assists users of WordPressdotcom hosted sites and the guidance provided here may not be relevant to DIY WordPress.org sites hosted with an external hosting provider (e.g. Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc.). For more information on the differences have a look at our support guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    Cheers.

PS If it works like it does here, have a look in your site’s WP Admin dashboard Settings>Reading and see if you don’t have a line to For each article in a feed, show and then you can choose whether to have a full text or summary feed. If it isn’t there or you have a plugin active on your site which controls feeds, please inquire at WP.org. Best!
