renewing my account

  • Dear Sirs,

    I have an account with you for my website http://www.didiergirard.com and I have recently received an email to renew my annual subscription. In the past, somebody used to do the administration but now I do it myself, so I have checked my account and when I started to fill in the form to make a payment for the coming year I saw at the bottom of the page that there was a line ‘renews annually’ which was not an option but a sentence that appeared.

    Could you please let me know whether that means I have nothing to do (I have not changed bank accounts or bank details) or I should do the payment anyway.

    I know this can be confusing, but is a simple thing. Let us break it down for you.

    About a month before your plan expires, WordPress sends you an email telling you that your plan is due for renewal. As long as your payment information is still valid, and your plan is on auto-renew, you do not have to do anything.

    Since you are doing this all for yourself for the first time, it is a really good idea to check all this to be sure you do not have any problems later. You have been there once, but just in case, go to:
    https://wordpress.com/me/purchases

    Click on your plan, then on the payment method you have set up in your account. Verify that everything is correct, change anything that is not. Again, if you do not want to be bothered with having to do this every year, make sure that the Auto-Renew feature is active, and that your payment method is not going to expire before your plan runs out again.

    If there is a problem with the payment, WordPress will send you an email notifying you of this.
