Removing page titles from header (Hestia Theme)

  • Hi there.

I’m using the Hestia theme and have been lightly customising it to get it how I want. The last thing I’m trying to do is delete the Header Text from each of my pages as I want to display a picture I’ve made with the page title in the header space instead.

I’ve tried using plugins which get rid of page titles and have tried following tutorials which show custom code etc and so far NOTHING has worked…

    Please help! Thanks

Picture of the text (highlighted) I want to delete is here:https://ibb.co/b9Y8aG

  • Hi @joejohnhamilton,

Your site http://sinbinrugby.co.uk/ is a Self-Hosted WordPress(using WordPress software only) and not a site hosted here on WordPress.com. These are two different platforms of WordPress, you can learn more about it here.

I could not precisely locate your page to help you with the CSS-Code to remove the header text. I suggest you get help on the hestia theme page –– you can post it on the forums there. Just make sure to post the link instead of the screenshot, that would be more helpful for the members to help you.

This forum is just for WordPress.com folks. Good luck with getting your issue resolved soon.

    Best Wishes! :)

  • The reason you can not get rid of it is because the text is actually part of the image. It is not text is is a picture. See here is the image you are using

So if you need to recreate the image without text.

If you want to have a title over the image in text then you will need to use a different template that offers that or write the code yourself in a child-theme.
