Remove ‘https://href.li/?’ from our external links
-
I administer a ‘members-only’ private P2 site for sometime now (https://kptrn.wordpress.com/).
It’s been good so far, going almost 2 years, except now this: ‘https://href.li/?’ This is now our problem: ‘https://href.li/?’ And we don’t want this (i.e. ‘https://href.li/?’) being automatically added to our links.
We add a link, for example https://youtu.be/Sx1yX3RmPMA, and after saving the post it becomes https://href.li/?https://youtu.be/Sx1yX3RmPMA (And the new link does not, of course, work).
Here is a screenshot of our current P2 settings: https://kappasigmafraternity.net/screenshot-kptrn-p2.jpg What are we missing? Please help.
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there, it’s added because your P2 is private. Without that, the site you’re linking to will see your site in their referrers list — which is not very private. You could get rid of it by making the P2 public, if you’d like.
Assuming you want it to stay private, though, can you share what issues you’re running into with this?

The idea, based on your explanation, is well and good and rightly so, except that any link you post (with the aforementioned “https://href.li/?” prefixed) does not work.
Take this YouTube link, for example: https://href.li/?https://youtu.be/Sx1yX3RmPMA
And note well the “https://href.li/?”…
Now try clicking on the YouTube link….
If it works, we have no problem. But as of this writing… nada.

That link works, and I’m redirected to that Sting YouTube video. What happens when you click on that link?
