Remove Devices from WordPress.com Account

  • Hello… I noticed, today, that an old iPhone has access to my WordPress.com account. I’d like to remove that iPhone from my WordPress.com account… I don’t have access to that old iPhone. I noticed that the iPhone has access via the Comments tab of the Notification Settings page on WordPress.com. Here’s the link…

    Can you help? Thanks…

  • Hi there! Happy to help.

We can’t selectively remove devices, but I can terminate all logged-in sessions under your account. You would need to log back in on the website and any devices you still use to manage your site and account.

If you’re okay with that, I’ll get started on that right away.

  • Hey… That’d be great! For future reference, is there a way that I can terminate all my sessions? I wouldn’t, in the future, want to bother you guys… Thanks.

  • Okay, I’ve logged you out of all active sessions on your account.

There’s no user facing way to do this yourself, but we’re always happy to help with stuff like this :)

Something you do have control over is applications and other services connected to your account. You can view and disconnect those here:

    https://wordpress.com/me/security/connected-applications

Most of those are oAuth connections (i.e. Log in with WordPress.com), so to re-establish a removed connection, just visit the site and log in using your WordPress.com account again, and you’ll be prompted to authorise a new connection. So if you accidentally connect something you still use, it’s simple to reverse :)
