"Related Content" Pane Missing in Edit Mode
-
I used to have related content offered to me in edit mode, so I could easily link other wordpress blogs in my posts. Recently, it disappeared. Did I do something to make that happen, or was the feature disabled by WP? HELP! :D Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

i cant see anything about related content in my edit screen so must have been removed if you had it in the past

Boo. Well, that’s a drag.
It was super handy, and helped me discover blogs with content similar to my own, as well as made it easy to share each others’ blogs on our own> I can’t fathom why they’d remove it.Thanks for the fast reply, Tony. Appreciate it. Have a good weekend.

Yes, it looks like they have taken several options away in writing/editing a post. As well as related content links, the suggested images are gone also.
-
I don’t understand that, since they were such beneficial tools for many of us in the WordPress Community.
I hope they put them back. :(
Thanks for your reply, Anna. Enjoy your weekend.

I read another post in the forum that had a link to this subject

Interesting to know. I do have that feature turned on, but the ‘related posts’ in that article are chosen by WordPress. The pane that was removed let THE BLOGGER choose the related content, as well as suggested terminology links from Wiki.
I miss that and hope that is brought back. Thanks for taking the time to send that to me, Anna. :)

Yes, mmmtastethis, i know exactly what you are referencing. It was all part of Zemanta. They have done away with all the Zemanta tools. They say they are working on something better. I hope it comes soon. I miss those a lot too.

Are you asking about Zemanta? If so then please read this:

Yes, 1tess, your first link is the one I posted above. We are aware that Zemanta is no longer a useful tool to us. As I stated above, they are supposedly working on something to replace it. I am trusting that it will be even better than Zemanta, and that it will not be too long in the works.

WordPress.com has done as much replacement as they intend to do. Note that WordPress.com’s related posts system will automatically place text links to three related posts from your own blog below the Likes sections of your post. Also note that Zemanta can be easily re-installed via the browser extension.
