Redirection of massive number of pages

    Hi, somewhat general question here.

    I’m in a situation where I’ve nearly 5,000 old custom posts.
    They’re old and not so important, But, folks still do find them through searches thus that’s where their importance lies.

    My situation involves having them in a new folder. Would having a massive catch-all redirect for all these pages be a very bad idea?

    I mean, how taxing might it be in any which way?
