Receiving emails

    I am not receiving any emails from this site. I have tried to configure a form but do not receive any notifications when the form is submitted. I have tried email addresses associated with the domain and also other ones. I also tried to change my admin email address but never received the confirmation email from WordPress.

    Hi,

    Are you referring to the site https://yourweddingdotphotography.wordpress.com/? If so, then I suspect that the contact form might not function as intended until the site is launched. The site is presently set on the Coming Soon privacy setting option.

    I’ll call for staff attention in case I’ve misinterpreted your support request.

    Hi there,

    Please confirm the URL of the site you need help with. The site at http://yourweddingdotphotography.wordpress.com/ is completely empty except for a demo post, and doesn’t have a contact form active.

    The Coming Soon setting shouldn’t have any effect on how contact forms work.

    More likely the submissions are going to spam. This is especially the case where people test their own contact forms – most people type random gibberish into the form, or simply something like “this is a test”, which then gets flagged by Akismet as spam, preventing the email from going out.

    Staff can check for that, but we’ll need to know the correct site :)

    Hi guys,
    Thanks so much for trying to help me, I was logged into the wrong account when I posted, I do apologise. I have solved the problem, I set up a SMTP plugin (Easy WP SMTP) and it has fixed it, but thanks for trying.

    By the way, that means you’re actually using the open source version of WordPress, made by the community over on WordPress.org. This forum is for the hosting provider, WordPress.com :)

    For help with that site, you can post directly to the WordPress.org forums next time, as the community there is more experienced in helping with that version of WordPress: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
